There are so many platforms needing to change due to restrictions set on by COVID-19. As a small business owner, you should be striving to adapt, as well. We understand not perhaps not all businesses can stay open during this time; however, if you want to find ways to keep your business running, keep reading.  Here are some Covid-19 tips for small business owners:

The number one tip we have for small business owners during COVID-19 is to use social media to your advantage. Many businesses find potential customers or loyal followings through social media. Not only can you update your customers on the state of your business, but you can also keep posting material for free- that will hopefully benefit you in the future.

If your business is open and finding creative ways to sell packages, food, meals, etc., social media is a great way to advertise. You can invest in ads on platforms such as Google, Instagram, and Facebook. Many people are staying home and are not able to see flyers, posters, or even your storefront. Therefore, it is crucial to be visible and present on an online platform.

The second main tip we have is to stay innovative and creative. Many small business owners have to find ways to stay afloat, and that means that they need to change their current strategy for another. Karla Dennis & Associates has been paying attention to what other businesses are doing, and we have seen many creative techniques. Many restaurants are promoting new deals, discounts, or family meal plans they’re selling as takeout. Even sushi and Kbbq place are selling specials. One restaurant in our area was also selling already made Margarita pitchers. We have also seen other businesses sell items online, offer online classes, or even curbside delivery. There are many customers out there supporting small business owners, and you should know that many others are out there, also trying to find ways to stay afloat.

Lastly, we hope that your business can still thrive in this period, and luckily the government is trying to help. The new emergency relief fund has a loan option for eligible small business owners if you would like to learn more about that click here.

It is a trying time for many people; therefore, we hope that you are finding ways to keep your business up and running. Karla Dennis is speaking to individuals about what to do next, so if you have any questions or would like to talk with her, please contact us.
